Walk Yourself to Wellness: A Guide to the Local Area

After being cooped up for days – or even weeks – of rest and recovery, there’s nothing better than stepping outside for a stroll to take your mind off tea, television and treatments. Although you might wish to wander aimlessly through the streets of our beautiful surroundings, we have put together some of our favourite points of interest for you to look out for on your mooch around Marylebone and Mayfair.

Peruse the Parks

You simply can’t miss the gorgeous green spaces that encompass our local area. A short walk from our serviced apartments and you will find Hyde Park – home to The Albert MemorialThe Diana Memorial and Gardens and The Serpentine Gallery, it is the perfect scenic spot to enjoy some peaceful respite from city life. Green Park and St James’ Park are also, of course, in close proximity to our serviced apartments near Marylebone, so you will never be short of open spaces to enjoy some fresh air.

Stop for Fuel

With plenty of fantastic coffee shops on the doorstep of our hotel near Harley Street, it would be a waste to not try at least one on your wander. Stroll through the cobbled streets that surround us and pause for a latte at L’ETO, a flat white at Taylor St Baristas or a black coffee at Everbean before continuing on through this exclusive area.

Appreciate the Artwork

If the British weather doesn’t permit a walk in the great outdoors, wander the corridors of the local art galleries instead. Ranging from the small, such as the Hignel and the Hay Hill to the grandiose, including the Royal Academy of Arts, and take your mind off your treatment with paintings, photography and portraits just a stone’s throw from our hotel near Harley Street.

Look at the Landmarks

Of course, our bearings in Central London means we are nestled amidst some of the capital’s most well-known historical landmarks. From the bright lights of The Ritz to Nelson’s Column, Apsley House and Wellington Arch, there is plenty of culture to explore, so soak it up on your Central London stroll.

If you are staying at our serviced apartments near Marylebone while you recover from your treatment at Harley Street, we hope our guide to the local area has helped you to enjoy your recovery period a little more. If you have any questions about any of the above, just ask at reception, we will be more than happy to help.
