After Impressionism: Inventing Modern Art at the National Gallery (until 13 August)

Exploring one of the most popular periods in the history of art, the National Gallery is currently hosting a major exhibition of over one hundred works from the 1880s to 1914.

Whilst one naturally thinks of the significant Parisian influences during this time, the National Gallery has also highlighted the important artistic developments occurring in other European cities which makes this exhibition particularly fascinating.

A must for those curious about the evolution of modern art, you will be treated to a breath-taking selection of works by artists including Rodin, Picasso, Matisse, Klimt, Käthe Kollwitz, Sonia Delaunay, Kandinsky and Mondrian, alongside Cezanne, Gauguin and Van Gogh.
