Friday saw the opening of the much-anticipated Costume Couture: Sixty Years of Cosprop at the Fashion & Textile Museum.

About

The exhibition, which runs until 8 March, celebrates the incredible works of Cosprop. Founded in 1965 by Oscar and BAFTA winner John Bright OBE, the costume house (which has a collection of over a million garments and accessories for film, television and stage) has created costumes for Great Expectations, A Room with a View, Pride and Prejudice, Downton Abbey, Peaky Blinders and Mrs Harris Goes to Paris, to name but a few.

It’s a beautiful exhibition where you will want to take in every perfect little detail, and has been arranged so you can see the costumes from several angles. Its curators are John Bright and Keith Lodwick (who has written the stunning exhibition book).
