Glide at Battersea Power Station: riverside ice-skating this winter

One of the highlights in London this winter is the fabulous open-air ice-skating rink which is set against the backdrop of the recently restored and repurposed architectural gem, Battersea Power Station.

Glide, which is presented in partnership with Jo Malone, offers three interconnecting rinks, bedecked with a fabulous Christmas tree in the centre and encircled by twinkling lights. With J. Theo Halliday and Giles Gilbert Scott’s architectural masterpiece one side of you and the incomparable views across the Thames to the other, it really is the most beautiful place to skate.

How about tying this in with a trip to the fabulous shops and eateries inside the power station, or just relax rink side with a cocktail from the Glide bar or some warming treats from their food vendors?

Glide is open seven days a week until Sunday 8 January.
