We are absolutely delighted that Anya Hindmarch’s Ice Cream Project has returned to The Village, Chelsea, for the summer and will run until 17 August.
About
The concept shop offers frozen treats (handmade in Devon) inspired by grocery store favourites presented in iconic tubs which are an extension of the Anya Brands accessories collection. They are beautiful to look at and the flavours, completely intriguing! The ice creams are also available by the scoop, if that’s what you’d prefer.
The Ice Cream Project explain: “With sleek silver freezers packed full of ice cream pots, the Ice Cream Project by Anya Hindmarch is a tribute to the joy of ice cream and sorbet…with a twist. The household names inspiring our ice creams are more typically found in the pantry rather than the freezer – this year including store cupboard essentials, vintage beverages, favourite biscuits and even classic condiments.”
Flavours
This year, the ice cream flavours include Bird’s Custard, Bisto Gravy, Filippo Berio Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Flying Goose Sriracha, Garner’s Pickled Onions, McVitie’s Club Orange, McVitie’s Milk Chocolate Hobnobs, Ovaltine, Quaker Oats, Rowse Honey and Jacob’s Twiglets. If you are vegan*, there are sorbet options, too – Copella Cloudy Apple Juice, Irn-Bru, Maldon Sea Salt (with dark chocolate) and Romney’s Kendal Mint Cake.
Blind-tasting tea
The Ice Cream Project are also offering a blind-tasting tea at the Anya Café, where you get to sample the 15 flavours and record your scores. Shortbread and the choice of lemonade or sparkling water will accompany your ice creams to cleanse your palette.
