It can take a lot of planning when travelling with a food allergy with worries about storing and preparing your own food, whether you will be able to source free-from foods locally and whether restaurants will safely cater for your allergy.

At 9 Hertford Street, our apartments offer fully fitted kitchens with ovens, hobs, microwaves, fridge-freezers and cooking utensils for your convenience.

Locally, we have M&S Food, Tesco Express and Sainsbury’s Local, all of whom offer their own free-from ranges. Further afield, we have a good range of supermarkets that provide delivery services so you can plan your meals and order your groceries ahead of your arrival at 9 Hertford Street.

We are very fortunate that London is renowned for having a fantastic range of both independent and chain restaurants who take allergies extremely seriously. Our advice is to contact the restaurant ahead of your arrival to discuss your dietary needs.

Allergy cards can also be very helpful. Customised to your requirements, they can list your allergies in your home language on one side; the list is then replicated on the other side, in the language of the country you are travelling to.
