Weird Sensation Feels Good: The World of ASMR at the Design Museum (13 May – 16 October)

On Friday, the Design Museum opened an exciting new immersive exhibition, the first of its kind to be held in the UK. Exploring the world of ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response), which is a natural reaction to certain sensory encounters, visitors are invited to explore the galleries which focus on visual ASMRs, unintentional ASMRs, intentional ASMRs and concludes with a large padded space, with monitors and headsets, where you are invited to lie back, relax, and totally absorb yourself in the multi-sensory experience. Vogue describes the exhibition as “[exceeding] expectations as an enthusiastic (and growing) fan of ASMR. A visit is certain not to disappoint if seeking a sensory overload of visuals, sound, and touch.” We cannot wait to explore it!
