A new ice skating rink was opened in our locality last week to raise funds for the wonderful Great Ormond Street Hospital charity, GOSH. Situated in Hanover Square, Skate West End is an elliptical rink which features a bar for seasonal refreshments. It will be running until 1 January.

Other rinks in the capital include:

Rooftop Ice Rink at Skylight Tobacco Dock (10 November – 31 December)
Europe’s only rooftop rink with stunning views over the capital.

Glide at Battersea Power Station (10 November – 7 January)
Set in the beautiful riverside location in the shadows of the spectacular former power station which is now a fantastic shopping complex with cinema and restaurants.

Skate at Somerset House (15 November – 14 January)
Set in the stunning historic courtyard of Somerset House on the Strand, there is a fabulous programme of special events at the rink including DJ sets and Swiss-inspired curated sessions. There will also be a bar, restaurant and Shelter Boutique, a pre-loved vintage and designer pop-up store.

Winter Wonderland (17 November – 1 January)
Forming part of the fabulous seasonal attraction in our local Hyde Park, Winter Wonderland’s rink is the largest open-air rink in the UK.
