Enjoy London online

During this time, you may want to enjoy some of the capital’s highlights either from the comfort of your Hertford Street apartment or from your home. Here is our team’s hand-picked selection of what you can access online:

Arts
The London Art Fair
The London Art Fair is a fabulous yearly event which showcases galleries offering some of the best modern and contemporary art. This year they are taking the fair online where you can peruse and enquire about the works through their Viewing Rooms. The show will be running from 20 – 31 January with VIP Previews on 18 & 19 January.

The National Gallery
As well as virtual tours, the National Gallery is also offering a programme of online talks, course and creative sessions. Find their complete line up here.

The Victoria and Albert Museum
Access the V&A’s collections online then learn more through their virtual courses and talks. This fabulous museum offers something for everyone in all areas of the arts. Be warned – their events sell out very quickly!

Cookery
Breadahead Bakery
The extraordinary Breadahead Bakery, based at Borough Market, offers a fantastic programme of online courses. Learn how to recreate their delicious breads and sweet treats with recipes inspired from many different cultures. You can source your ingredients locally with either delivery from Borough Market or Mercato Mayfair and you will find all the equipment you need in our fully fitted apartment kitchens.

History
The British Museum
Whilst The British Museum is currently closed, you can enjoy their galleries online as well as access online events, blogs and podcasts through their website.

The Natural History Museum
The wondrous Natural History Museum offers its visitors 14 ways to enjoy the museum online – how fabulous is that? There is something for every age group too. We are particularly excited about the tour of Hintze Hall with David Attenborough!

London Tours
Would you like to enjoy the sights and secrets of London from the comfort of your sofa? There are some fascinating tours on offer. What has particularly captured our eye is Footprints of London’s Mayfair: Bright Young Things.

Theatre
National Theatre at Home
Following the success of National Theatre’s 2020 initiative of streaming their best loved performances online, they now offer a National Theatre at Home package, which they are adding titles to every month. We can wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful service which can be accessed on multiple devices – perfect for the whole family, wherever you may be.

The Old Vic
The Old Vic has been characteristically creative in recent months, producing the most phenomenal theatre to be enjoyed from home. Our team have particularly enjoyed Lungs, Three Kings and A Christmas Carol. Find their current schedule here.
